Advanced Affiliate Secrets From: Mimi Tanner My dear friend and fellow affiliate, Some of you know me as the author of various e-books. For
a long time I have been considering sharing some of the lesser known ways I
earn money as an affiliate marketer. Affiliate marketing is where I started.
In 2004, I knew nothing about what an "affiliate"
is. Yet it became my livelihood in a very short time. By February 2005, I was making GOOD MONEY that got better every day. My day job ended in May 2005 and I never, ever worked for someone else again. I only wish I had started much sooner. But even starting as late as 2005 was still no problem. It's definitely not too late even now to start if you are truly, truly interested in this and want to read, learn, and work! I can hardly call it "work" because most of it is fun.
I started reading a lot about being an affiliate (I had NO IDEA what it was) and after doing my homework, I decided that THIS BOOK was the best place to learn what to do - I was off and running in no time. (It did help that Google Adwords was a LOT cheaper then - now I can no longer make Adwords my part-time job, sorry!!) You can make money without Adwords and I do not recommend losing your shirt there...
In the past, when I heard that someone made $30,000 per month or
more - in net income - I
had a hard time believing it. Now I realize how very possible and even
easy it is to make this kind of money - and much more.
I say "easy" to make that kind of money, but with an
important distinction - I enjoy this work and am driven to work more
and more.
My first day in affiliate marketing I made a profit (a small
one) and it has continued to double over and over again.
Being an affiliate is the ideal income
As much as I am compelled to write
and create products, there is no question that it is far easier to be an
affiliate. Why? Because after a while, I answered customer support emails so much that I had to hire help with this. When you create a product, you have to deal
with all kinds of customer issues. As an affiliate, all you do is
encourage the sale and collect a check. And this is something you can have all set up - and leave to your kids - with no work needed except to make sure that the domain and hosting gets paid - and not even that if you use free articles or blogs... and the truth is, it is NOT a mystery. It's all very simple.
Even if you have your own products, affiliate selling should be a part of your offerings - or you are most certainly "leaving money on the table." I have gone back and forth on this question, the more products of my own I had - and the conclusion is - promoting others' products does pay your kids' college tuitions and make a BIG difference in your income.
What do I think LATELY? I think you need to get with it before things get more "regulated and taxed up the wazoo." My reservations about Advanced Affiliate Secrets
However, it is very difficult to make the final decisions on
what Advanced Affiliate Secrets to share, because already the things I do
online are very frequently copied by others.
Also, once certain secrets leak out, the result is often a
negative one. I do not want to see this happen. So I am still
developing Advanced Affiliate Secrets as a product.
As a
successful affiliate, I have realized how much room there is out there for
more success. Most people think that success is elusive, and act accordingly!
Most affiliates aren't trying very hard, and are not
very motivated! If you ARE motivated, then you are WAY ahead
of the crowd already - whether you know it or not. If you are persistent AND armed with information, you will find this out on your own soon enough.
Also, while there are some astonishingly successful
affiliates, most do a cheesy job. Therefore if you take the time to
learn well, you can outshine 90% of those who try, without even breaking a
sweat - or rather, it won't seem like a sweat when you compare it to the
returns you get.
However, over and over again, I see websites that are never finished - or never
even started. I see people give affiliate marketing a half-hearted try,
and give up. Their problem is
A lot of people are still doing things in ways that are now becoming old-school.
While some things are "forever," like great copywriting, web surfers expect a
lot more now, and deserve it.
More coming in the months to come - a few projects must come first, however.
